Know Our Approach to Learning

BIS is a non-denominational organization that provides a high quality North-American education in English. Our curriculum follows the American Educators Reach Out (projectaero.org) standards and provides an excellent foundation for continued studies in other international schools and post-secondary studies in the United States, Canada, England and other countries that follow a similar academic structure.

All instruction is taught from a Biblical worldview and Biblical truths are integrated into every subject area. All students also attend weekly chapel sessions where Biblical applications are taught and practiced.

BIS believes that each student is a unique creation of infinite worth, and each student is encouraged to pursue academic excellence. The programs at BIS provide enrichment in intellectual, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual areas.

BIS helps students with varying abilities and learning styles to achieve their full potential. Students are encouraged to make wise choices as they interact with peers and teachers within the school community. As students learn to behave responsibly at school, they gain the necessary life skills to become successful leaders who will positively impact the world.

Students who successfully complete their required courses graduate with an American diploma.

Our secondary students are looked at as individuals with individual learning needs. As we strive to ensure that each child's needs are met currently and for the future, students benefit from guidance counseling in regard to course selection, college preparation, and future planning. Our 9-12th grade students are offered the option of adding additional courses through NorthStar Academy. NorthStar has nearly 200 course offerings that include AP courses and Dual Enrollment courses.  AP courses and Dual Enrollment courses allow students to obtain college credit while still in high school.
