English Immersion
Program
Brasilia International Shool is na American school located in Brasilia, Brasil. All classes are taught in English and upon graduation na American diploma is awarded. Our high academic standards and Biblical worldview draw many prospective families.
However, without the needed English proficiency per grade level, students struggle immensely creating a learning gap in their needed contente areas. This gap along with limited English will not only impact the individual students but the classroom as a whole by not allowing the class to move at the necessary pace.
The school recognizes the need for a program that allows students access to Enghsh by immersion. Rather than denying the students entrance to BIS, the school is offering a special half day program. Students would attend their current school for the first half of the day in order to not fall behind in content. Then, in the afternoon, these students are welcome to BIS for our specialized English Language Immersion Program.

As the schedule reflects, students will have interaction with BIS students and will be surrounded by the Christ centered culture of BIS. In addition, Bible will be a class where both scripture end English are taught.
Entrance and graduation from the program will be based upon WIDA or the Measure of
Developing English Language. Upon successful testing out of the program, students will be welcomed lnto BIS as spots are available.
